Anna Sorokin’s Star is Rising Once Again
From Anna Delvey to Dancing with the Stars
Anna Sorokin, better known as Anna Delvey, has been making headlines once again. She rose to fame in 2018, when she was arrested for defrauding banks, hotels, and individuals out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. She was convicted and sentenced to four to twelve years in prison, but was released in February 2021 due to good behavior.
Netflix Documentary
In the months since her release, Sorokin has kept a relatively low profile. She was briefly detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, but was released after posting bond. Netflix has recently released a documentary about her life, called "Inventing Anna," which has drawn renewed attention to her case.
Dancing with the Stars
Most recently, Sorokin has been announced as one of the contestants on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars." This is a surprising move for Sorokin, who has no known dance experience. However, it is sure to generate buzz for both the show and Sorokin herself.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Anna Sorokin. However, one thing is for sure: she is a master of self-promotion. She has managed to stay in the public eye despite being convicted of serious crimes. It will be interesting to see what she does next.
