The Indiana Pacers have completed a trade for Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam. The deal gives the Pacers a much-needed boost and improves their chances of winning the NBA Finals.
When the trade was first announced, the Pacers' odds of winning the Finals jumped from 6600 to 5000. However, they remain just 14th in the league. Despite this, the Pacers are confident that Siakam can help them make a deep playoff run.
"Pascal is a great player, and we're excited to have him on our team," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said. "He's a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions, and he's also a great rebounder. We think he can make a big impact for us."
Siakam has been playing well in the playoffs, averaging 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in two games. He has also been a force on the defensive end, holding opponents to just 40% shooting.
